Fix Guide: Tahoe Bluetooth "Battery Level Unknown"
Symptom: Your Bluetooth devices (Magic Mouse, AirPods, or 3rd party keyboards) connect to your Mac on Tahoe, but the battery percentage in the Menu Bar shows "Unknown" or remains stuck at a fixed number.
Why this happens
The bluetoothd daemon in Tahoe 26.2 has a bug in how it polls the Battery Service UUID from LE (Low Energy) devices, causing the reporting service to time out.

Fix 1: Reset the Bluetooth Property List
- Open Finder and press Cmd+Shift+G.
- Go to
/Library/Preferences/. - Locate
com.apple.Bluetooth.plistand move it to the Trash. - Open Terminal and run
sudo pkill bluetoothd. - Restart your Mac.
Fix 2: Re-pair with "Forget Device"
- Go to System Settings > Bluetooth.
- Click the 'i' icon next to the affected device and select Forget This Device.
- Turn the device off and on again, then re-pair.
