How to Fix Shared with You Missing in macOS Tahoe 26.2

Missing the "Shared with You" section in Safari, Photos, or Music on macOS Sequoia?

TL;DR fix

The full fix is in The Fix section below. Verified on macOS Tahoe 26.2.

Recommended Troubleshooting Tool

Before proceeding with manual fixes, we recommend using CleanMyMac X. Excellent for clearing Safari caches, bloated databases, and stuck background processes.

The Symptom

Content sent to you via Messages doesn't appear in the respective apps' "Shared" or "For You" sections.

The Fix

  1. Verify Global Settings

Go to Messages > Settings > Shared with You.

Ensure "Shared with You" is toggled ON and that all app checkboxes (Safari, Photos, etc.) are checked.

  1. Re-link the CloudDaemon

In Terminal:

killall cloudphotod
killall identityservicesd
  1. Check Individual Contacts

If it's only missing for one person, open your chat with them in Messages. Click the "i" (Info) button and ensure "Show in Shared with You" is enabled for that specific thread.

Pro Tip

"Shared with You" requires both parties to have iCloud active and for the sender to be in your Contacts app. If they aren't a contact, macOS hides the content for privacy.
